bit out of the blue, but the car started missing badly on monday. managed to drive it to and from work, but at only partial throttle.
had a look at the disty cap, and it was fried. the main lead had corroded into it.. and the others werent so great.
i didn't have much of a choice really, as this is my daily, so went went to Repco and bought the only brand parts they carried. the cap looks like its molded off the original Toyota unit, but is black, and should be fine. The leads are Champion branded steel leads, which should last too. the whole lot was $200, and would've rather spent that money on getting original red TGP ones, but ehh.. i needed them asafp, and its no biggie. At least it will be fine for years to come!

Where did you get your lights from?

Bead blasting should get the aluminium bits looking like new (obviously cant to that the the internal precision areas though).
 
I would run some sort of intercooler though, dont do the VL setup.
 
Your car looks awesome, makes me want to get an AW11, which is really saying something!!

Raybrig's came from yahoo japan, but are easy enough to get here anyway. i just dragged them across with the extractors.
The HID's are from always-classy ebay! they were one of the few that were actually IN australia, and were in melbourne! got them in 1 day. :P

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for an AW11 ARC cooler. if any knows of any around for sale, let me know? :)

I'm still meaning to chase up Toyota for a handful of genuine parts.. i want:
- front bumper reo
- front indicator/parker lenses
- RHR C-Pillar trim
- and maybe some new quater panel indicators.
then give the front another touch up! keep it looking sharp! :)

as you can see in the pics; the car has currently got on its radtastically 80's Simmons V4's, Momo, and the Genuine Toyota SKI rack. because its clearly snowing. NOT to be confused with the Toyota Surfboard rack i also, somehow, for god-only-knows what reason, have.
 
aaaaanyway, will be going back to the other bits tomorrow - but it's a bit of fun for a couple pics. :)
