im sure its all repairable. i really like the SW20 mr2's and would take it off your hands to get it fixed.. but pah.. ive got enough fkn projects and enough bloody cars! surely you'd be able to buy a neat aw11 for the price you'd get for it... then a little extra for a 3sgte motor and go from there. going to be a bit of work either way though eh!
good luck with all your mr2ing.. just enjoy your 92 meybe? :p

anyway.. a couple new pics (non mr2 again. :( )
GTS IS DONE. very very happy with it all. just in time for winter.. <_<

and a new pic of the subaru.

which i think ill sell to completely fund the MR2's repairs. turning two drive-able cars into 1 is priceless. :p
anyone after a comfortable daily wagon?

the paint on most of the cars is not really all that flash. i dont bother with making them imprefection free (so they still have swirling, light marks, waterspots, orange-peel finish etc) i just keep them clean and wax often.
as far as products go, the cuts and polishes i use are made by Menzerna, and the wax is P21S. to polish/cut i use a Bosch random orbital with Edge brand polishing pads. also TONS of microfibres i use once then put in to wash. easy 50+ cloths. helps prevent spreading poo poo.
but basically i wash each car once a week, wax once every 4 weeks, condition anything leather once every six weeks, and would claybar the whole car once a year.
i also wax almost everything on the exterior of the car, from paint to plastics.

thanks for that. i LOVE seeing clean original cars.. cant help it. i dont care if its an SV21 camry wagon or a 85 Magna... if its clean, ill sure as hell appreciate it. 'a cars a car' and only transport to 95% of people though.. and they're probably right. [:I]

hey man, i remember seeing a photo of your aw11 with wirewheels and a SC engine lid.
i was wondering what mods did you do to fit the SC engine lid and have it latch properly?

ive still got that SC lid around somewhere.. :S :p
and some SC tails...[:I]

as for the lid.. lol! i never actually moved the catch or anything. it just sits there fine. even at speed. funny, but at 160+ or so, its starts to lift up on a 45' angle!

for an update on the mr2's engine rebuild..
the motor is done and going in, with just a few last things needing to be looked at. heater core and piping, handbrake cables, and drive shaft reco. fkn brilliant. ;)
actually went off to the mechanics on saturday morning.. armed with a bucket of kero and a couple paint brushes. spent a couple hours crouched in the engine bay giving it a bit of a scrub! [B)]
pics:

poor car. :(

filth:

and afterwards - much better!

sorry for the SHYTE pictures. [:I]

cars back soon i hope. cant wait.
