Hard to find decent wheels in 4x100 in good sizes... I know, the Lotus is 4x100.  I just bought some 16x7 and 17x9 team dynamics motorsport wheels.  Not sure if I'll end up using them yet, the 17x9's are real tight on the back and I'll have to see how fitment is with tyres.  Might be worth looking into some TD items, they seem to have a pretty good selection in 4x100 up to 16x7" (nothing wider in 16").  Price isn't too bad, think I ended up around $1300 out of pocket for a brand new set in sizing per above.

yep, bugger of a pattern. 17 x 9 too big for the spyder. can't clear everything , makes ratio too tall and and whats more, race tyres are stupid prices. 15 x 7.5 is all i really need to run 225's on back. even with flares, i doubt i'll need anything bigger till 2GR s/c goes in.
Plenty cheap ones avail for lotus in USA but freight is the killer

thanks, i know about them and i've sent them a message, but none of their off-shelf wheels are ideal. Spyder is a real problem child with rims and i want something with sensible light weight, like around 6-7kg/wheel. The biggest problem is the front space. 60mm is max and most 8" wheels are 70mm +.
Guard flares maybe??

If it's a race car and it's not against your class regulations, flares might be a very cheap option to fixing your wheel and tire selection problems.
