RdS, I'm using the condition of yours as the inspiration for mine. Will hopefully have it nearly as clean as yours oneday soon. Yeah, a few people find the options strange. One of the Toymods dudes thinks it's a conversion, but I checked the build plate last night & it was a 4AGZE from factory. I didn't even realise until yesterday that it didn't have sideskirts. I actually kind of like it that way.

yep, looks to be a reasonably original supercharger car. there's really no reason to think otherwise. Not everyone sprung for the g-limited with the supercharger, just most did..!
as for the skirts, id leave it as it is. most have then, and may aswell be different while keeping it original! im always on the lookout for a neat enough, cheap enough, pair of those rear pods to have; incase i want to go down the sideskirt-delete path in the future.
shouldnt be too hard to make it cleaner than mine either - if thats genuinley done 120,000km, for eveywhere that car has been once, mines been three times!

good luck with it all anyway...
give it a good service, some new bushes, quality tires and a proper alignment straight away; and i have no doubt you'll love it. A sorted AW11 just gives so much information back to the driver its ridiculous...!

How's it drive? VERY well. This is the first SC I've driven & I'm impressed. Even though the old 20v we had wasn't well sorted, I can tell I'd much rather a 4AGZE. It's honestly slow in the top end (by my standards at least) but has a very zippy low & midrange. Great for around town or twisty's. I haven't bothered taking pics or cleaning it yet cos I've been having too much fun driving it :)

Cheers RDS. I'm def gonna pass on sideskirts. It's just a good wash & front bar/lip repair away from being quite immaculate. It feels like it's got worn bushes, but isn't so bad. Just has the typical knocks from the suspension as a result. I'm assuming the twosrus bushings kit is all I need on that front? The shocks/springs seem fine. Alignment isn't perfect as it's got more of an understeer tendancy @ the moment. That's all soon to be sorted. Engine feels great! Transmission has silly redline GL5 blood in it, which is my priority to replace. Horrible shifts when cold. It has new shifter cables, but I'll prolly get brass bushes anyway.

Had a run through it with Hitman this afternooon. Did some tuning & fixed the idle hunting issue. Fuel economy is like my SW20 cos the folks who fitted the Haltech, didn't bother fitting an o2 sensor. That'll be fixed soon too. The rest of the tune seems ok. In summary, not much to be done really. Looking forward to the finished product.

Hey man, i remember mine, i felt was slow top end too. I did heaps of mods to try and over come this, like ecu, cams, pulley etc, but i learnt no matter what the SC will always "feel" slow top end, only becuase the low/mid is so good...if you know what i mean.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can live with it though. I've never driven a 4A that felt really good uptop. Unless it were turbocharged of course, but I wanna keep it original. Don't worry, we'll take the Adub & the Starlet down the quarter shortly

Anyway, here's the first pics. Quick shots, since I didn't clean the car yet (as its going to rain & have work lined up for it). The lip was spray painted black by the previous owner. Doesn't look back (except for the crack/scratch of course), but I'll probably spray it the original grey.

In view of its faster brother [:p]

looks great. :D
will look heaps better with a new painted lip too.. :)

whats going on with the sheetmetal under the bumper too? im guessing its had a larger muffler in the past, but nothing i've seen before. :S
I'd probably almost cut it out further (get rid of the remaining vents), so its less noticable..? maybe even just clean up the cut so it looks like it was meant to be?

Cheers Sweetpete. Greg says you're not far from my area. Don't hesitate to wave me down if you see me. I'm starting to think every SW20 lover should own a doorstop too.

Rds, the previous previous owner had some expensive flashy exhaust, which was removed prior to sale. Never got the chance to see what it was though. I was thinking to remove more, but am leaning more towards cleaning up the cut instead. I'll probably change the tip on the exhaust oneday to something more subtle.
