 Bought a 87 AW11 from this site

Still in the shop getting it's rwc. Had to spend about 2500 on it already just to get it back on the road. Need advice on what brakes and shocks would be good on a aw11. Also I have the problem with a hole in my dash

I just fitted some Tokico Illumina inserts and Eibach pro kit springs to mine. It's proven to be a reasonably priced but good combo so far. As for brakes,  just changed to a performance fluid and fitted Qfm peformance brake pads all round. They bite hard and work well from cold.  The shocks and springs can be found on Ebay and the brake pads came from Lilydale brake and clutch.

Got the car back from the mechanics finally with the roadworthy. Problem was that the lazy ****s didn't check the new engine number for the roadworthy so I almost wasn't able to get the car registered whilst on my holiday. Got it all sorted however.

Now does anyone have any solutions to the screech that happens on start up. I am suspecting a fan belt noise and I want to fix it asap

Simple - tighten fanbelt.

Next.

Seriously (I am, sometimes) welcome to the Forum, good to see you've invested in the right model.  Grab a torch, take a good look at the fanbelt.  Check it for threads hanging out, chunks missing on the belt, etc., etc.,  Having no idea of your mechanical ability I won't say the tightening procedure is simple - for the unnitiated it can be a little daunting.  However, Google is your friend . . .
