Cruise/run, same thing to me. I'd like to cruise at 100mph if they'd let me.
Glad to hear about the J Day decision, need some more MR2's in the sea of nissan/datsun and rotars.

P.S. I have nothing against nissans , datsuns or rotars.

My night photos didn't turn out very good, I hope the others had some more luck! Ddubtollie, the photo of your sdub came out to blurry to upload :(! Thanks for the great run, it was nice meeting some new faces.

Danielk - you seem to frequent a house on the corner up my street :) I see your car some afternoons when I'm walking back from the bus stop. If you hear a suby rumble going down the street it's probably me...06 STi. :)

Despite perfect storm of road works, Friday night traffic and Football at Lang Park (leading to late arrival at starting point), the evening turned out just about perfect. Weather was so mild, the route was interesting and different and we had a good turn up for our 1st night time run in surviving memory! Was good to see a couple of new faces and cars, too.
Walter and Kathy did a brilliant job with route notes and end of night dessert surprises by the bayside at Manly.
Looking forward to our next event.
cheers
Steve

Lumix,
I think you are being a bit hard on yourself about the photos. The lighting conditions were very challenging and for our first night Run (note its a Run, not a Cruise) I feel I can speak for all who attended by saying you did extremely well.
The darker coloured cars are really hard to photograph at night, and as you used ambient lighting in unposed positions, rather than artifically enhanced spot lighting, I think the results are great.
Some of the shots are very atmospheric with the building lights in the background and so much more natural in my view than certain examples from the Downshift gathering that had been photoshopped to within an inch of their life.
The yellow cars in particular look excellent (OK Roar Power and JohnQ, enough grinning please) and I really liked the side view of my car.
Keep up the good work.
