Hey guys just thought I would share the car I just bought with everyone. Gave it a clean all around before i took the photos, it's fairly rough on the other side BUT I bought another mr2 with this car which comes with a working diff this black one has a blown diff so I will do a full change over from the other car to this car. And will probably do a full resto on certain parts of the car.

To Do List:
Fix all panels on r/h side of car bog and then sand back for a paint job... What colour do you guys recommend should it stay black?
Interior:
(R/H side seat from wrecked mr2, install new manual boot (already bought one), Change dash as old one is rough (from other mr2), paint centre console, might get a new gear knob, make/get sound system, Fix cold to hot air system knob as it stays on hot side -.-
Exterior:
Fix and replace right hand side panels (most of them have dints in them), fix front left hand side indicator, left h/s mirror doesn't move up or down :(, change over engine with diff and clutch etc.. Change over front end bumper and need to find a right fog light for it (unless original owner can find it). Change shocks over from the other car, Might buy some rims with left over money.

Thanks for reading guys hopefully I can get some helpfull tips from you guys as this is my families first toyota mr2 been a dream car for my dad and it ended up being my first car :D I have all the tools needed for this restoration even a car hoist which will make it much easier.

Mirror problem
A common problem is that the wires that go into the driver's door from the doorpost often break due to opening and closing the door. They generally break just inside the flexible rubber gaitor. That may be your problem.

I had the same problem with the mirror adjustment switch, and stereo speaker not working on one side.
I had to remove the door trim and unplug the wires inside the doorpost to fix.

Remove the door scuff plate moulding (use something like a screwdriver to pry the clips up so as not to break them), to allow you to remove 2 plugs inside the door post.
Remove the door trim (the switch panel pulls up to get at the plugs underneath to make removal easier)
There are about 4 screws to undo. One at the front up high and about 3 on the lower edge.
There may also be pull off a clip or 2.
Although I had the whole door removed when I did mine, you should be able to manage it with the door still on.

First you could use a multitester to check if any wires are broken or lightly pull on individual wires to see if they come through. If any are broken probably best to pull the whole cable through into the door for easier access to the wires.
When you reassemble make sure the plugs in the door switch plate are put back properly.
Good luck.

Saving at least one MR is better than not saving any!
I'm looking forward to your updates, looks like you have a good base to start with :)
