Driving in willeton. Had car behind be ran a red light and assumed a single lane road was a double lane.

Old falcon forced me off the road into the curb, (it was either go off and take massive impact from side) clipped a power pole and went up the curb.

Sad $h#tty Morning.

Completely folded front wheel like a tin can right wheel is straight and left is on a 45degree angle. Hopefully the lips can get re-rolled?

Front fender got pushed right in with lamp pole and pulled bumper with it.

Need to track down another fender and possibly a new bumper, and some front suspension bits that no doubt are bent/twisted to buggery!

Worst part is driver didnt even stop and I didnt get a plate!!

That sucks so bad. Try reporting to the Police anywhere. Theres a small chance someone might have witnessed and wrote down number plate.

Hoping to get new lip for it - or see if they can be re-rolled.
That picture kind of shows impact that was taken.

Spoke to former policeman, said it was difficult as that car didnt technically hit me and makes it difficult as i didnt get a plate.

That's terrible, stories like this make me so angry! I hope it doesn't take to long to get the sw20 back on the road. Meisters are beautiful rims, hope it can be repaired.

Not sure if going ahead to fix this, cosmetic damage isnt much but few arms need replacing underneath. Might start looking for a nice MR2 to transfer some bits over and start again.

Basically this is what happened:

I think I basically had 4 choices.

a) Get T Boned by a probably speeding car running a red light - impact no doubt would of been my drivers side door
b) Lock up brakes and still probably get into scenario (a)
c) Try and avoid and go into oncoming traffic possibly injure myself and some other party
d) Choose the curb, even with the light pole.

The ASS (according to witness) didn't even stop at the light and kept going, the road I was continuing straight on was only wide enough for one car.

Its a pity these situations, where its better for you to actually be in the accident than to have avoided it -_-

Know what you mean!
That being said, avoided it - I wasnt injured - if I was T-Boned would of been drivers side door and car would be an instant write-off, would also cause fair bit of impact to me!

Estimate to fix: Depending if this is accurate may go ahead with it.
$600 Structural repair (Rowe and Sons Car Restoration)
$250 to fix wheel (Bob@ Perth Wheel Repairs)
$70 Front Trailing Arm (Tristan @WTF Auto)
$50 Front Fender (??)
$20 paint. (Automotive Paint Tools and Equipment)
$50 - Misc. Wheel alignment, new coolant etc

Unfortunately have to drop the coolant! Which was only replaced a fortnight ago!

Thought I may update this:

Managed to track down replacement fender, trailing arm and headlight cover.
Will be going in to get the structural sort of things done tomorrow.

Also managed to pick up set of Gen 3 Tail Lights and what I have been told some Phoenix Power Side Skirts from people I got a replacement fender from

Still Deliberating whether to put them on or not, unless I get something for front or rear.
