why dont we just book into a timeattack event? If we secure spots in advance we can get a majority of MR2's in. Then you dont have the added burden of organising the whole thing yourself... It should only be about $140 for half day

Yep, fire extinguishers are required pretty much with any motor sport these days. Can pick them up for $30 or less at Super Cheap.

The main reason I'm looking at a private day is due to the crap amounts of track time you get with the public track days at Lakeside and QR at the moment. The current format at Lakeside, Street Sprints (half day events) are a total of 4x 4 lap sessions, which @ $145 = $9.06/lap. Open Sprints are 3x 6 lap sessions, which @ $175 = $9.72/lap. Midweek Sprints are a total of 4x 5 lap sessions, which @ $135 = $6.75/lap.
 
These are far more expensive and provide far less track time, then if we run a private day which we can get the costs down to $2.50/lap and allow you 70 - 100 laps in for the day...

But the main problem is getting the numbers though?? Otherwise, what will hapen. We get no trackday at all?? If the numbers are so low, mayb we should consider mid week sprints, whoever turns up turns up??

Not having a dig man, but we cant hire a track if only 5 people express interest??

To achieve the required numbers, I would be looking at inviting reputable members from other communities to join us.
If there is no interest, it's no problem, any one can just go join a Track Attack day and accept the higher costs and lower track time. From a personal perspective, I'm not too concerned if the track day doesn't go ahead, I'm willing to go down to Wakefield Park for a decent track day if needed .

Ffffff i've gotta come on here more often. Me and Dan (danielk) are keen for some track days and hillclimbs

Still working on this occasionally in my spare time, hoping to give QR a call this week to discuss insurance requirements for private track days at Lakeside. Also looking into Skid pan hire for a lower cost option for those looking for something less track based, but still fun.

I would be keen to join any track days, Hill Climbs etc......Green Spyder itching to stretch it's legs

Hey Guys been a while since I've been on here,
I'm keen on a track day and I could probably russel up a couple other guys not Mr2's though, would be MPS, R32, 08 STI and my Gti-r and maybe a couple of others

Keep me in mind if you are able to arrange anything - I'm keen
