Hey guys..

Still chasing this earth leak in my brothers AW11..

I can only seem to find a single grounding point.. which is on the thermo housing.

Anybody able to advise where the remaining grounding points are?

I've removed all relays/fuses and theres still a drain of approximately 0.4 amps

Another ground point on the cooling system filler - drivers side of engine bay.  In front boot, passenger side near the bracket for the AirCon canister.

If I remember anymore I'll post 'em up . . .

Ive disconnected the alarm, head unit, amps.. Yet I still draw 0.4 amps..

Ive checked the door switches and bonnet/frunk pins.. They're all fine..

Also replaced the alternator two months ago, because she wasn't charging at all!

I'm hoping its just a bad ground somewhere..

Thanks for the help guys, keep it coming if anything else comes to mind..

You are chasing the wrong thing. A bad earth will stop current from flowing, not make it flow. 400mA is a fair bit so check that all your lights are off including the ones in the doors. Disconnect everything including things like the aerial, ecu etc. do this properly and you will find what is draining current, then plug them all in one by one while monitoring the current.

Just a suggestion, following on from Glenn's comment.  If you've got a helper working with you, work systematically through each fusebox - remove a fuse, see what affect this has on your current drain.  Replace the fuse, remove the next one.  This will (hopefully) quickly identify which circuit is causing the drain, then go on to removing and checking the components on that circuit.

(Did that explanation make sense?)

What could cause this is if you have not turned off the ignition key fully to to left before pulling the key out.
I think normally the key can't be pulled out unless turned fully to the left but these ignition barrels do wear.

I had this happen on my AW11 and the battery would go flat after a day or so because the key was not turned fully off leaving the clock display turned on.
