mm thats a goo idea.... yeah the outside is good, just the inside is stuffed.

If you have the nuts to do an original type fixing, I suggest you use PermaPoxy from Supercheap, Autobarn etc.  It is a rigid, high strength, connection.  The other trick is to use epoxy ribbon from Repco to mould around the nut.  I did my C pillars a couple of years ago now with the epoxy ribbon and they are holding fine.

That would be Kbox.  Sorry.

the links aren't working for me on this computer, i'll try them later though on another!

now, when i got the rwc done, after they fixed the radiator, they said i should definitely get another one within the next 6 months or so, as mine is apparently terrible. it'll do for now, but yeah.

so i think i'll buy one from these guys.

can even drive there and pick it up. took the car into vic roads today, passed fine, although they couldn't find the engine number, he took our word for it. went for a short drive of, mmm so good.

the bad news is i'm heading back to tassie tomorrow night and the car isn't coming with me, so it'll sit in my parents garage awaiting my return. I'm studying over there.

edit: the other bonus to owning a cool car again, i get to wear this again. suites the car perfectly. 80's style awesomeness

links for my own use;
clips that can replace inner parts of the c pillar trim apparently.

finally got a chance to have a quick look at the car, some parts arrived including a new (for me) centre console, new leather gaiter and new (for me) gear knob. looking at the abortion that was in there before.

to what it looks now (and its not even put in right, waiting for my new (for me) ashtray/with lid to arrive).

the radiator has a slow leak from the radiator air bleeder, hoping its just an o-ring or the like, will have another look tomorrow. god i love this car. also joined the toyota car club, the sunnies for my car arrived too, going to need to buy some cassettes n' such as well.

went for a drive around, trying to replicate the leak.... nothing, its apparently fixed itself... for the moment, carrying some extra water around just in case.

will be back near the car soon for a month or so, so hopefully more work on it. ashtray and lid arrived as well.

so had a crack at changing the radiator out..... did it... though the new one doesn't line up well with the fan unit... got 3/6 bolts in, (the 3 at the bottom of it) then zip tied it at the top. will do for now.

so... obviously pulling the unit out, plug the two hoses back in, the temp sense unit and thats it yeah? i'm just freaking out that it'll all be ****ed and my engine will fry... need to flush it a few times as well, but will get onto that next weekend or so, have to leave the car for a bit again.

Go grab yourself a copy of the BGB and read the coolant refilling procedure. You have to follow it word for word since there's 3 bleed points and you need to burp the system properly. there's over 12L of coolant in there and you don't want any air pockets.

BGB is available here:
