I had to drill for alt and drive shaft, but if your contemplating building it yourself you should be able to manage this. My 5s block had an oil feed so was a non issue.
Machine work (coolant flow related too) is where most of the differences are so get this done by someone in the know, other than that mine was built just like any other eng.
In terms of performance, I run a GT2860rs so not much larger than standard, but I noticed a huge jump in response and off boost power. Spool time is awesome. This is all on my 'run in tune' so I would expect much more from a power tune.
What turbo are you thinking of running?
Oh shameless plug, if serious about going a 5s have a look at Totens proposed built eng in the for sale section, it would save you all the hassles involved and you wouldn't have any reason to open it up no matter what future upgrade you may desire.
