Is it 2013 already?? No, but we just wanted to make sure that we get everyone to mark their calendars, diaries, Facebook pages, Instagrams, You Tubes, whatever, with the date for the first Run of the year.
As the "really ancient cars" All Japanese Day is on Sunday the 17th of February (my car doesn't qualify yet but I certainly would) we have decided to hold the first Run of 2013 on the next Sunday, which is the 24th of February. Normally the Runs will be on the third Sunday of each month as advised at the Christmas Run/2012 AGM, but circumstances have caused us to postpone the first one for a week.
Please mark your calendars, etc; with the 24th!! The destination for the Run is not decided yet, but if anyone has any suggestions then please PM me. Because we have been roughly south for the past two activities this one will be north or north-west to get the balance going for the year.
The whole Run Calendar will be posted early in February as we started doing last year. Unfortunately it can't be any earlier as the Run Manager and I leave tomorrow for a month in Korea and the USA. Korea this morning was minus 21 degrees - we must be mad!
Scope will be looking after my ADub for four weeks with a view to fixing some small problems, although it is more a reason not to have it within reach of my son who will be staying at our place while we are away. However, if any member sees my car with someone looking like Scope doing "Ferris Beuller's Day Off" impressions out west of Lowood then please let me know.
I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and that the coming year will be better in every way than 2012. Thanks for all the support and we look forward to seeing you all on the first Run in 2013.
