I'm removing the hole for the standard SW20 power antenna and I'd like to get some feedback from other people who've done it.  Whats the best alternative antenna?  I've got an SW20 hardtop JDM.

I'm thinking of an antenna connected to the rear demister OR the "shark fin" type.

Anyone had experience with this in an SW20?

I have an antenna in my windscreen from factory. Works pretty well. If yours has it I would suggest using it, just takes an adapter for it to work with the head unit

Ta,  not sure if it has the windscreen antenna.  I'll check when it comes back from the spray painters.

Yeh I'm in the same situ at the moment, I didn't realise until a few days ago my car also had a windscreen antenna (JDM model) after seeing this youtube video.

It's those 2 lines running thru the centre.
I was gonna custom fit a stubby antenna but a full delete would be better for 1% higher top speed.

Go to an auto store, they have rubber blank off grommets in metric and imperial sizes, that keeps the weather out, just pop it in

Eric, do your FM stations work ok?  As mentioned in thread, I also thought it was for AM only, hence I have never gone down that line.
