Hi.   I would just like to say that Ihave enjoyed immensely your whole post on your cars build.  Great photos.  Like the whole show.  Beautiful design and workmanship.  Congratulations!!!     Loved 7PSI inlet design and gave 7PSI.   Spot on.  How Bout That.    Only pitty is all that nice cast duct work and machined bracketry is not up top for all to see.   Keep it coming.  And many thanks.  I am sure I am not alone admiring your workmanship.      Cheers   Doug.

Needing a bit of help from the Turbo guys.
On the Beams engine there is the Idle control valve same as the Turbo, But when A/C is on the ECU controls the valve so as to increase idle.
But on the Turbos you have an A/C valve.

Now this valve opens when the A/C is triggered on and allows air from the airbox to bypass the TB and into the plenum thus increasing the idle a set amount.
Even normal N/A's have this but just get their air before the TB.

My question is , if A/C is on and you boost wont their be a leak and force air back to the air box ?

Also does that valve have an adjustment screw. Also is it just an on of valve or PWM

There is an adjustment screw, and its just an on or off valve.
As for the boost leak...no idea, is there is a oneway valve inline with
it somewhere? Or does it close once revs are above idle?

Cool so there is an adjustment screw , and on/off thanks !

That simplifies my thought, i dare say the ECU cuts power to it when its over a certain pressure or Throttle position , hence no leak. Also i know the clutch on the A/C disengages at certain points , temp , TP , Boost etc so as to not put a load on the system.

Thanks.

If you have a picture that would be great

Great many thanks !

Just one more if you can see the hoses on the Valve one goes to the Plenum the other goes to a tee to the main air line. One end goes to the air box the other side of that tee where does it go ?

Mine is different to the gen2, dont really understand the logic but it goes...
plenum-->valve-->turbo outlet pipe
There is a nipple just under the blowoff valve mount.

(No boost leak in this case, as its on the high pressure side.)

Must go to other devices that require air ? Maybe Idle control valve ?

yep on a gen2 that is going to the idle valve. gen3 is different obviously.
