I'm looking to do a k20 big turbo conversion on one of my mr2's,
Anyone know who would be best to talk to workshop wise or backyard guru in Australia. .or preferably in the canberra /sydney region.

I'm talking with a few local workshops ..but thus far mr2's are a little scary to them.
Looking to do a similar set up as racelabs mr2 for those familiar

Any advice would be appreciated

Waiwong has done a K24 turbo on his Spyder, so he or his mechanic would be good to talk too.

They do mounting kits for the K series into the MR2, will be good to see an SW20 in Aus with a turbo K series.

Thanks nik ! , ill get a few pics up once underway . Haven't got the engine yet , Iv got x2 black trd widebodys complete being vimal's old car for those who know it (going to make x2 of these, i saved a few American build threads looking at either a k20a2 or a z1 , guess I'll talk it over with the builder but yeah going the full hog .. cage , albins or ppg box and lots of boost. Probably just get a stock motor working before getting a full sleeve crate motor from the yanks as you mention.

Hi waiwong , yeah both are sw20's a 90 and 91 models , looking at running round 900hp -1100 mark full song, any advise is appreciated. .. just got a email back from Hux Racing , who rekons not an issue for their mount kit to be used on a rhd sw20 , racelabs in the states tabbed up their own kit using a porsche mount I think... did you use a kit?

BYP in sydney have been itching to get there hands on a sw to preform a kswap on , benny and jimmy are probably some of the most knowledgeable k series builders in Australia. they did the beams swap for me in my MR2 and i cant fault their work.

Finally after approx 7 years just putting some mojo performance coil packs on the supra and turning up the boost on the t8838gk. Be interesting to see if these little mr2's can move in the same way;)
