i have however found it very frustrating when trying to capture the colour of my car properly. this is the closest ive come so far..
still learning, having a really sunny day, using spot metering and using the lens wide open with a shutter speed in the low 200s didnt do me any favours this time.

Hmm I'm struggling to find the words to describe the cleanliness of this car! The lip looks quite nice actually, well thought out with the side skirts and rear skirt etc.
Makes me proud there's many others out there that really set a good example of a presentable MR2, unlike moi...

its taken a fair while to get to this stage. so its just a matter of time before you get there as well.

Hard to believe that this is the same car from the start of the thread, its almost like you decided to swap mid way.
 
I think the surrounding colours may be affecting you capturing the actual colour of you car, try and get it on a crest with no other colours in the background, of course the sky will have some influence.
