No further details of the car have emerged, although it is understood the convertible will share the coupe’s 147kW/205Nm 2.0-litre boxer engine.
Final production versions of the convertible 86 are tipped to be shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in November.

saw that a few weeks back in a magazine, looks ok, not a fan of soft tops.
dont think they will sell as quick as the hard tops.

you think they would make them more readily available in general rather than make a soft top,

still waiting for a turbo model to launch...

I think they'd do better selling either supercharged or turbo-charged variant in a hard top. I guess we'll all have to wait until one of the next 2 Toyota sport cars comes off the production line.

Going after MX5 share. Pretty logical methinks since the 86 clearly has the handling/dynamics cred behind it.

Shame, I saw it in Paris earlier this year and it's only competition was the IS350 and G36. The MX5 doesn't come close.
