A few drives here and there and a couple of new things:

C`s AW11 Short Stroke Shift Kit.
Have been searching for a new or used TRD short shift kit for ages and found discontinued means discontinued. Was researching other options other than the TwoRus kit which I tried, various aftermarket kits and finally came across a fantastic OEM level build quality, new genuine C`s kit from the UK!
(**The seller has another one left).

Cool packaging and graphic and Japanese translated motto:
"This new idea Produced a series of performance parts With COMRADE design."
Brilliant.

It has a wicked gunmetal metallic finish:

Comparison (Original OEM shifter at the top - C`s at the bottom):

While it was apart I was ready to replace the rubber shift mount bushings with the machined alloy ones but no need, rubber bushings were completely fine:

Installed:
** Also to give an idea of how the throws are reduced.
OEM: 1st - 2nd @ 130mm measured C-C from the top of the shaft.
C`S: 1st - 2nd @ 100mm measured C-C from the top of the shaft.

Added a 3" anodized black extension to bring the knob up! JGTC style!

Extension removed.

Also made a graphic traced off my car - inspired by the Border SW20 Aero Effects image.

Improved Ash Tray storage:
Removed the grate from the ashtray so I can actually use the tray to safely stow small items.

Grate:

Binned the grate, opened up the access, filed, repainted the modified metal arm, and re-installed. It gives the ashtray its snap shut quality.

And this random clean:
The Adub sleeps under a car cover, but needed a desperate clean before the cover went back on. Washed it and the sun was out so, opened the boot, bonnet, doors, sunroof, everything etc and found this... WARNING: Its fairly gross, in around and under the rear boot rubber seal.

Heaps of gross slime, which prompted an urgent reschedule of the afternoons plans to remove the rubber and clean the sh!t out of it. Literally.

And finally a couple of photos from last weekends awesome weather:

(Partly why I love the AW11 - the rear firewall - interior side)

O&O.

Awesome work, as usual. :D
love the detail.. love the pics.. (f'n great work on that graphic too.. :D)

Re the shifter - for a while i ran a short shifter with a heavy (and ridiculous) 8" S/S extension and knob. Shifting made me giggle like mad...! Was like stirring a bucket of water with a shovel!

Cheers fella,
Its the solid weather, helps get stuff done! Sun out car out!
I tried it for about a week with the extension and the short stroke kit installed it pretty much brought the throw back to standard haha. Can only image what it would've been like weighted, good description that! Couldn't agree more its impossible to quit grinning, people think your waving at them but your really just being that inner race driver smashing gears! I thought my shift knob was high up, your S/S extension was over double mine haha mega lols.

You may be glad to know you're the first and only person to have one!
Thanks so much!
And also cheers for the kinds words, its a great little car just don't stand too close or you'll see all the surface imperfections, paint fade, scratches etc...
Love it! Do you have an Adub Surgeon?!

dennis the menace
Back a couple of posts, it's horrifying just what lies beneath the rubber trim on our cars.  Perhaps it's one of those jobs that needs doing once a year - remove the trims, clean and polish/wax the area, clean silicone the inner channel of the rubber and restore.

I've recently done all three of our cars - still in therapy . . .
