Where you going to mount that tripple gauge pod?

Because Racecar, they will probably go anywhere I can get a screw into mount them.
At this stage I will probably mount a bracket between the dash cluster cover and the A-pillar trim

Time to install the HEL braided brake lines.

All four lines are the same, no variation front to back, left to right.

Gave the area a good WD40 dose

Bent the line holder with the shifter.

Popped it free.

Well this explains why the pedal has some sogginess and the car was so squirrelly under brakes at Norwell Park....

Dual washers and tightened up snug.

The little grommet thing isn't the greatest, so will add some zip ties later to keep it in place.

Looks tidy compared to stock.

Old line vs new line.

Will do the rears tomorrow and then it's another step closer to MTC 2014

The "little grommet thing" should fit inside the bracket which you unfortunately cut and the "C" clip shown in your last photo should slide into the groove holding the line in place.  The only difference to the original line is that the braided line can slide in the plastic clip.  I have had this system installed for two years now with no zip ties and no problems.  Its a good system and the supplier here in Brisbane is extremely helpful.

What a great workshop and some great upgrades to the trackdub. So your exhaust will be even louder in 2014?

The grommet is too small and just pulls through the tab while the stock brake lines rubber grommet mounts perfectly fine with the clip.

Made a start on the flares today.

You need to remove the circlip from the old hose and fit it to the thin groove in the plastic mount of the new hose.  The C clip goes through the thicker groove.  The circlip and the C clip then clamp either side of the mount.
