I just received the track hire agreement for the two trackday challenge. This is a $18,000 risk I am looking at taking on so I need to know of people who are 100% committed to this venture. I also need it to happen in the next two weeks or I will be talking to someone else about putting on a trackday for October.

Steve, what is the minimum number of paid entrants you need in the next two weeks to make this happen?

35 entries@ $600. That will just cover garages, timing, accommodation.
To cover it less the garages, accommodation, timing will take it to $514.
I can just go for the value of the deposit but that still leaves a big if and a big risk. Its better to just pay the lot then its secured.
As I have it set up with trybooking, it can be paid online with credit card or the likes which makes it a lot easier for people.
People can also book accommodation direct with Wakefield which make life easier for the organiser.

Going by the list above there's not going to be enough for this event to go ahead?  Even if they all paid..

Steve is there a committee organising this or is it just you?

Sharon has been helping out, Mike will help out with changes to safety plan, Brendan said he was coming along to help out. I am not interested in doing it all on my own so a committee would be great.
I will be sending out a email to everyone who attended the last meet plus previous years to see what happens. Also taking to another guy who runs trackdays who may do a co-operative so we get the numbers. Will have a clearer picture in the next few days.

Good to hear. There are so many people that want this event to stay alive.

Like most things these days, marketing is the key to success.

Let me know how things go over the next few days.

If people want it to stay alive, they need to book a spot so it does. It's great that it has been kept alive since 2013 but really need to see people just sign up and make it happen.
You can book a number of different options on the trybooking site but the garage allocation, class and accommodation option needs to be done manually. It's a job I will have to sort out this week so when you book, you receive a automated response with required info or a link for the before mentioned.

How many have booked for the nationals?

Maybe talk to Keven and co for an overview of numbers entering. I can think of at least six of us Queenslanders and there are bound to be others who don't participate in our club events who will probably go for the Nationals.
I would like to think a number of the Nationals people will enter for Wakefield Park having already made the trip to Canberra.  Great opportunity to bring the cars onto a very popular track. And it is a very safe event too. Starts off with the hill climb. (One car at a time). Lets you feel out your cars potential before running on the several different track layouts. Come on fellas. Get onto this.  NOW.
