I am looking to get a front lip for my 98 MR2 na. I have been researching and seen some that say they fit 91-99 models, and others that only fit 91-95 models. The one I want to get say sit would only fit 91-95 but i have a 98... I am wondering if it will still fit? since some say they fit 91-99? does anyone know if the front bar changed over the years that would mean it would not fit?

It changed over in 93 for the one piece front lip which stayed the same up until 99. But saying that I’m pretty sure you can bolt the older two piece lip to the later model bumpers without any issue. So id say you won’t have any fitment issues for any lip you want to fit.

The later model lips just use extra holes in the bumper, I don’t believe the shape of the front bar where the lip bolts on ever changed between years except for the addition of these extra holes.

You would need the later model lip for your car.
There are only 2 different front lower lips fitted to SW20's.
The early ones are 2 piece while the later ones are one piece. 
The later lip can easily be fitted to the early models because the front bumper lower mating edge is almost the same, but you need the special hardware to fit them otherwise the lip can sag and won't mate up properly.
