Im working on the cage after work every day atm. Its almost completed. It will ba a ten point cage welded to the the chassis rails and strut towers. I have come up with a way to tie the cage into the rear strut towers without going through the rear window. It looks good on paper. Peter at bond roll bars pointed out a few ways to minimise the vauge effect sw20's have in the rear. I will pick up a fair amount with the cage then add a few more braces to the engine to complete the exercise.
Im using 2-3mm lexan for the rear window, rear quarter windows and targa tops. I will simply make up a aluminium frame for the the targa the fix to it.
Another mods are relocating the intercooler and the addition of a air box with both finding air from ducts on the roof.
Also fabricating new caster rod mounting points.
I have a A1 welder working with me at the moment. He is making life very easy with the cage.
I havent been in contact with mr2oz as yet but will in the near future.
Make sure you manage a few pic's or footage while at Silverstone
Cheers
