Yes surok, its a TT so it will help you with a cage. It has a cage in it.Its a half cage and available if your interested.

I didnt realise the TT was 30kg heavier than the hardtop. How it it that much heavier? There certainly isn't that much weight in the TT itself. It there additional structual strenghtening? Everything in mine will be completely removed with only a peice of lexan going from one side to the other. I will put some pics up on the picasa site when it has been done.
Thanks for the info roryh.

Wiring is a bit of a headache but Im getting there. Im at a stage where the cage needs to be installed then painted so I can install the minimal amount of trim required plus the completion of wiring.

Can someone help with bushes? I need a few for the front and rear.

cheers

buy the bush kit from twosrus. its cheap for what it is.

the tt's are heavier due to the extra strength they added.

Will do Phil.
I will remove it this week and take some pic's.

I found a supplier for CDS with the steel being delivered in a week or so.
I calculated just under 40kg for a comprehensive cage which Is OK. Also have a qualified TIG welder to come over for the day and do the welding.
I find the cage the biggest hurdle with building a car but will be over it soon.

cheers

There's a "race" SW20T on slicks that was circulating about 1:55 last time I was at PI (which was 2007)
Stock AW11s/c on R specs does 2:05ish (hand timed)

The island is a spectacular track.

Sounds good mate who did you get for the CDS DS McCulla and son we do a fair bit of business with them.
The handling is getting better on my car front sway bar pretty much dialled in now just need to go for a run and confirm. I wanted to go up the putty last Saturday but with the rain it was not worth it.

I will have link pins made 10mm longer and that will give me the compensation i need

Not sure Rob. I will be in contact with friends who are organising the day. There is a crew from the GTR scene heading down for the day. Its the Powerplay crew. They just had a write up in Fast fours. I took my ST162 and beat half of them at Wakefield. They are a little concerned about the MR2 [;^)]

I expected a race spec MR2 to be a lot quicker to be honest. Somewhere around a 1.46 is where I expected one to be. Check these times http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results.cgi?23/11/2008.PHIL.Q5
Production sports Sb start from 1.43 to a 1.50 which is where it needs to be.
Have to wait and see.
