Does anyone know if you can remove the large heat shield without removing the turbo?
I've never attempted removal with the engine in before, but I'm current doing the old fuel pump change, eg. Tank drop.
I could probably get it out by bending it, but that's not what I want. If anyone has any ideas on a way, please share.

I did this just a few weeks ago, challenging but can be done. Since I've installed and removed it a few times without the tank installed and it's much easier so it's obvious the filler tubes are the biggest roadblock.

I kinda walked mine out slowly towards the pass side.

Also worth a mention I run a Garrett turbo but still on the stock manifold with a turbo beanie so unsure if that creates more clearance.

It's IMO easier than getting to the hose clamps on the vent chambery tubie thingo.

I got it out, had to remove the entire intake system right to the turbo, a bit of wiggling and it came out undamaged.
