Selling my beloved MR2 as I just don’t use it enough. I have owned it for four years, and only let the registration lapse a month ago (it was still under VIC rego, after having moved to NSW one year ago). I was still driving it up until then. There a few things (detailed below) which will need to be addressed before it is re-registered, but please let me stress that mechanically this car is in great condition. It has had no engine troubles and has been looked after by a reputable MR2 mechanic in Melbourne over the last 4 years (Ian at IDB Automotive). I have many service and part receipts from the previous two owners who took great care looking after this car (and I feel terrible having let this very good example of an SW20 slip a little).
Known issues:
Buckled front left rim and a very small buckle in the rear left rim.
Tyres which will need to be replaced for roadworthy
A crack in the front bumper bar, following an impact with an embankment. This also damaged the plastic behind under the bumper and in the front wheel arches.
May need new brake pads, and may need one rotor machined (after having driven the car for a while with the buckled tyre).
A small tear in the driver side door armrest
Due for a general service
This car still presents very well, and I will definitely miss driving around with the targa off!
