Correct. The whole idea is so that when i leave the car i can close that latch and it not been seen. When its open its very clear to see the screen when in driving position. Having the digital boost gauge in my cluster will mean i wont need to keep lookin instead only using it when need to make adjustments.

I dont like it in the ashtray/coin slot. Unless you have a mould from emspowered but like i said its seen for everyone to steal.

Well a huge thanks to JustAce for help on wiring. We still not finished. Hopefully get more of it done this weeknd.
But we started it. And she runs nicely.

We had a few issues.
1. Wiring
2. Fixed a cut clutch line - Yes i will never live it down
3. Replaced my Fuel line from filter to rail.
4. A few other lil things

We joined the wiring togther. I basically cut my na harness behind passenger seat. And cut Turbo harness on same spot. We have about 8 wires left over. We got tail lights and brakes and indicators working. Car idles fine. We have an engine light and some others but will look into more weekend. Heres a pic of what we had:


Heres the eng bay. I also fitted my painted calipers and machined discs on the rear. And my braided brake lines. Ive got slotted discs to go on the front once the car is a lil lowered:

Whats left? Well alot of wiring in the cabin. Gauges and EBC etc but nothin to hard. I can take it for a drive after:
Bleed brakes
Clutch Fluid
Full Coolant change
Throttle cable fixed.

I still have my three dash lights which usually means alternator. But my alternator is fine. I need to multmeter test my plug that goes on the alternator to see exactly whats up.

I fixed my speed sensor which means I now boost normal, 14psi.
I can now fit the avcr with peace of mind. This should be done in 2 weeks.

Things left is fitting front brakes. Hard wiring my radar detector. Fitment of AVCR. Wire in my IC spray.

Due to the engine slighly missfiring on idle I am going to replace dizzy cap and rotor. Which I should of done anyways when swap was done. I also got a new set of plugs to go in.

In all im happy. It boosts good and sounds awsome. Really happy with Berk exhaust. Though it backfires all the time, as soon as i hit the accelerate pedal, it pops. Is that normal? It has no cat, but i would only think it back fires occasionaly, maybe on slowing down and tapping accelerator.

I also notice sometimes that boost goes down from 14 to 12psi. after 6k. Only sometimes. Its really wiered. Im thinking maybe wastegate flap/door. But thats goin of my ems powered digital gauge. I will see with my AVCR what the reading is.

Im hoping to get a full detail and buff soon. Hopefully MR Rudd sends my pay check soon. Then i will get some outside shots. Heres some pics of my interior (was in the arvo) and rear low rider.

update time

Dyno on sat. Bit dissapointed. 17psi 250hp atw.

first run was on stock ecu low boost - 14psi
2nd run stock ecu 17psi
3rd run blitz access ecu 17psi
4th run blitx access ecu 17psi. Ive decided to stick with stock ecu.



Mods again:
Berk Dump and twin exhaust
Greddy copy IC
Engine lid fans
Ceramic coated piping
AVCR
Walbro Fuel Pump
Apexi Pod Filter
Std gen 3 eng and turbo - No Internal engine work.

Im happy to stay with the stock ecu for now and then move onto a power fc for more stability, tuning and power.

Oh and its nice and shiny cause i finally got it detailed. To bad my respray a few years ago was a backyard job and also not looking after my paint means this shinyness may not hold up for long.

Thanks vinny, yeh just save, took me almost a year to save and get a gen 3 halfcut in, but then it was party time cause i got to buy all the parts i wanted with my saved money. The led lights is a progressive shift light. I organised a group buy on here about a year ago. You can set what rpm you want the lights to come one. So its got 4 green 2 yellow and 2 red and then it flashes for when i need to chaange gears. The cluster is stock. I just replaced the battery meter with a digital boost gauge, from emspowered. Yes i need a new steering wheel, but I dont mind it.

ohh.. thats pretty cool.. the shift light connects to the cig lighter im presuming? does it change according to gears?

i might just try and design my own version (pulls out bread board) :P

its hard wired in. doesn't have a connection for cig lighter.
Well yeh, when you hit red line it flashhes and as you go to next gear it will be at say 2000 rpm which if you have it set like i do 2 green lights will appear and go up accordingly as the revs go up.
