Update:
Its out. Took realistly a days work. I was a bit slower by myself as its first time doin anything with a car let alone preping an engine drop.

Already starting on the timing belt and this is a hassel already. The lower pully which is holding the lower timing belt cover is being a pain to get removed. Apparently one way to do it is to start the car and have a breaker bar against the ground so it kicks the nut loose as the engine turns. Dont know what im going to do but soaking it in wd40 for now.

Traction control is definitely coming off. Its crap and not installing abs as its to hard to fit.

Hers some pics:

Na will sell it haha

Updates are my turbo has a whole lot of crap in it on the entry side which definitely is coming from the catch can which then means to much pressure in the crank case. For a stock looking engine minus the pod filter its a bit wiered, as more boost would cause that. So Going to investigate it more. Bit of a downer so far regarding that.

Ordered a berk full twin exhaust and dump. Should be in the mail.
I also got a coated aussie dump reasonably cheap so im stoked. I will be selling one of the two once i decide which one i will install.

Next step is to pull the gearbox out to replace the clutch, to stop the engine turning so I can undo the lower pully of the timing belt and also remove the brake discs and hubs.

Got all my engine parts (seals and more seals) that I need from Tristian at wtf.

My digital boost gauge arrived.
My hardwire for radar detector arrived.

This weekend saw me do rear and front oil seals, cam seals, pull gearbox apart, dizzy o ring replacement, timing belt replacement.
Good weekend in all.

Im goin to get an aftermarket exhaust manifold, and also a lightened flywheel. The stock one looks a bit to hammered and has plenty of heat spots to give a good excuse to get a new one.

Almost done. I would say 80% done before i can actaully chuck it in my NA.

Also forgot to mention its a bilstein limited edition model. Though it says 94 and 10 years limited edition, according to forums 96 models did come out with this sticker. It does have bilstein rear suspension. There were apparently only 250 made but i dont think so. As i read another website that 250 were delivered to UK. They said 250 in uk 250 in japan. I find it hard to believe. Regardless they inlcuded lock nuts and gunmetal grey rims, momo steering wheel and other options that were not on std mr2s. None of which i have in my cut except for the sticker and the rear shocks.

Great progress Daniel.
Also as far as I knew all Rev 3 SW20's had Bilstein suspension. Mine certainly does.

Update.

Had to get my tie rod ends and lower ball joints replaced on the car. Much more safer and better handling.

Ive got an aftermarket exhaust manifold, and its being ceramic coated as I speak. Im also getting my IC pipes done. Pics soon.

Ive got some 18inch schweet ass Rims lined up from seb at wheelmania.com.au
Again pics will be up soon. Need to save for tyres!

I didnt go with a Lightened flyweel as said but instead just sticked with stock and had it machined. I finally got a tool to line up my clutch properly and then this weekend as I was bolting up the clutch cover I snapped a bolt. Biach. So need to get a new one from repco or somethin.

I also pulled the rocker cover off. Im getting it sand blaseted and then painted this week (Silver). Again pics up soon. Pulled out TRC on throttle body. Im getting a new plate to go on the throttle body to get the IC piping to meet up correctly.

Lastly Im getting front Slotted discs. Should be ordering this week. Keeping the rears. I got Lucas Pads and stock calipers to go with both.

My friggen Berk Exhaust is still due anyday. Dam thing is taking so long!!!!!

thought the wheels you were getting were 17's? so how will it affect speedo accuracy?

No effect on speedo as rolling diameter hasnt changed.
