Well my quote is $490 insured for $35,000.
At least its up in value by $3,000 and the premium is only $120 more.

Mine expires end of June , ill have to see what Shannons come up with. The annual premium is not what im after its the sum insured and pick my own repairer which both do

Just tried NRMA. For my car @ $30k (much higher than Justcar max agreed value), it's $1057. Dropping the value down $12k only resulted in a $200 saving. Not bad @ all. Will check Enthusiast.

haha I just cancelled my Just Car today, didn't have to pay anything as still was within 'cooling off' :D
What I like about NRMA Vintage, Veteran and Classic is that the restrictions are primarily based on KM (up to 9000/yr) not how many days the car is used. I may use it 3 or 4 times a week but never long trips.

For what its worth im going to try Shannons again and show them the quote to see to increase the sum insured.
I believe them to be more reputable , i just dont like brokers and feel uneasy.

Question tho are you telling NRMA that the car is modified or a grey import ?

That does have a bearing

They never asked if it was a grey import. Just the year, make, model etc.
They asked about modifications so I listed them but they didn't care about non-standard accessories.
Has a bearing on what?

market value is different on a grey also you should list all that you spent on her and hope for the best they say ok and give you the highest sum insured.

Disclosure: be very careful of that

Look at i SELECT for car insurance , they are cheap but insured valves are really low.

Well I personally found Shannons to be the worst for valuing the car. "Agreed value" less than I paid for it lol! They said to get a higher value they would have to get someone to look at it. I couldn't be bothered with them after that especially with a premium over twice what im paying now and $500 excess compared to $300 with NRMA its a no brainer really.
