The 1mz-fe does have a bit more torque, but it has to carry 2 cylinders (plus more other stuff too) of extra weight around, so if you probably lose that advantage too.

Anyway... I'm not out to sell anyone else on the BEAMS. I've already made my decision and I know what I like! As far as I'm concerned, if you want a great lightweight NA car, a BEAMS Red Top is the goods

Well it seems you guys have conflicting views so the only way to know is for both of them to race in the real world...Which means 1MZ-FE swap!

On a serious note though sorry to off topic, hope everything goes well on the rebuild and it's a smooth road to getting your car back on the track :)

Ha! Senol says: "As far as horsepower, anything more than 120rwhp is great."

Well a Red Top gives you about 170rwhp... so there!

Hey, I'm just having a joke. Not taking the p**s.

Seriously though, I'm enjoying my Red Top a huge amount. But each to their own.

Nice. Saves me time and money since my graph would be virtually identical.
What's with the dip in the graph at 142.5km/h?

You mean ACIS? I don't know much about dynos but after 5k rpm the car feels faster and acts like mini VTEC so shouldn't it bump up the curve? Could be a resonator thing as well...

woops. I was a bit drunk when I wrote that. It could have been a number of reasons for the dip in the power band. Let's see if it goes away after the rebuild.
