just sold my mr2 cause i needed more seats, so bought a supra, really shouldn't have. ive only had 3 days but i know am going to hate it. after coming from my fast well handling mr2, this car just feels sluggish in takeoff but even worse when it does get moving theres no feedback through the wheel, and it just feels unsettled. dont get me wrong, there built well, like most toyotas. the thing i'm really trying to ask is, why do people like these cars

they are ok, not that bad, you just need to get use to it.
its 300 to 400 kgs more weight, i remember they feel much heavier in cornering and braking but acceleratoon wasnt too bad.
great in high speed cruising, well planted and heaps of grip, but not as good in tight slower corners.
rear seats arent that useful either :p i sat in the back from sydney to adelaide not fun :p

Could be worse, you could have bought a 300ZX :D

Did you by any chance make the mistake of buying a non turbo?
On a serious note the engine is probably part of the reason why. I agree with nissky it's more suited to a bigger track, and prob faster on that all things being equal

I got the twin snail 1g gte model. And the mr2 felt alittle twitchy at times but at least you could feel the road. This feels like playing a racing game without a force feedback wheel. Except when you crash you don't just bounce off the wall and keep going.

you crashed it already?!

i got the same impression driving a supra years ago... the only way to have them is the mkIv with TT 2Jz.... then it's a muscle car.... but its never a sports car.

think about it, it's made for the US market, they dont do corners and they dont like feedback or ANY weight in the steering wheel.

You could try burning it to the ground.... If it's insured.
Then with the cash, go make yourself a SW20 Limo to take care of your 2+ seating requirement
