SUNDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2014 - TECHNICAL DIRECTORS DAY AND BBQ The Annual Run Calendar proposed a Run for this coming Sunday the 21st of September, but we have decided to put this off for a week and hold the Annual Club Technical Directors Day at Scope's workshop on the following Sunday, the 28th of September 2014.
Because we have two activities now planned in October, including the introduction to hill climb competition on Sunday the 19th of October, it was felt that the time was right to let members have a look at the underside of their cars and do a thorough check of mechanical condition under the watchful supervision of one of our esteemed Technical Directors, the world famous Scope.
Last years Technical Directors Day was a huge success and Scope's knowledge, electronic gizmos, copious workshop and full hoist found quite a few mechanical issues which members didn't know they had.
This activity is strictly limited to paid up Club members only, but if you know someone who wants to join and is willing to pay their $20 fees on the day then bring them and their car along. Timings for each car being examined are not restricted and you don't have to arrive at the start of the day, but if you do come late then there may be a wait.
The Club will be putting on a free sausage sizzle with dessert for lunch and soft drink will be provided. Numbers may have to be limited so get in early on the Roll Call. As per Club Standard Operating Procedure (
SOP) a Run Sheet giving details in the middle of next week to everyone who puts their name down.
This is a very positive way to get more value out of your Club membership so hope to see you there. Progress on the MR2 Nationals for next year will also be discussed over lunch.
