hey all,
now i dont wanna start a toyotas vs nissan thread. i have been offered a R34 Skyline. with the rb25 neo turbo engine. 4 door auto. now my question is what are they like to drive. as i have never even been in one. now the back story, i have had a mr2 gt for the last couple of years, but had to sell it for a family car. and i bought a supra ga70, but i'm not happy with it, partly with the lack of speed, also the practicality isnt there with it being a 2 door.

now anyone who has had experience with them please step up and try and explain what there like to drive. as in handling, acceleration, etc..

My brother has a stagea wc34 rb25det neo, auto tiptronic, very nice smototh and fast, id say the skyline is lighter so probly abit quicker again.. Just watch out for coilpacks with the neo, other than that, awsome car awsome motor... By the way, they came out with the same rb25det neo before u ask why im telling u out the stagea...

I wouldn't worry about it if it's auto.

Coilpack is usually the most common issue with RBs.
Splitfire coils will easily solve that.

Plenty of aftermarket parts available on SAU.
Easy to extract power, only issue is its an auto. :/

Handles okay.
Gearbox, when manual, is very strong
Reliability in general i found is very good, unlike my mr2, which keeps braking down!! I use to own r33 turbo (290kw)

Yellow jacket coils are awsome bang for buck too!! The autos show strain when ur chasing power so just hook up a trans cooler, but yea, the autos in these dnt like a crapload of power... Dnt wory about the car been bigger then the mr2, there still fun :)

Like the other guys said pretty solid car, well built, better than the S chassis anyways IMO. Unless you want a cruiser, really think about that manual lol

If I can only have one car, and it needs to combined family and acceleration.
I would take the Autech 260Rs Stagea.

As for the coil packs, well, 20 years would do it. Even the mild GTRs are running at 400HP at the wheels, nearly double of what they "originally" came out with. Spark intensity becomes pretty crucial when you are hitting around and above those figures.
