I'll be sending mine off the to auto elec for that stage. Has fredhoon fabricated a mount for you? I might have to get in contact when the time comes. Are you using the 1mz ECU?

Well I'm not making it up. Indicated 110km/h on the speedo, bouncing off the limiter with the tacho showing 5750rpm.
I know the speedo is out by ~6km/h according to my GPS which is pretty typical.

To the best of my knowledge its a completely untouched car but maybe in its past it had a diff change, but it doesn't have an LSD.

The torque actually starts at about 2500 - 2750rpm and drops off at 5500rpm according to my suspect tacho. I'm pretty happy, afaik this 20 year old engine has never been rebuilt. It feels like my old 4AGZE really.

On that model the torque 'surge' cuts in around 4500rpm on the tacho so I would say that you are correct when you say the tacho is probably faulty.

colour coded my side strips today. It was quite easy. Most of the time was spent taping it all up, atleast on the RHS.

I went to bunnings and found a plastic drop sheet with a strip of masking tape down the side already for $5. Saved about.... an hour on the LHS :D

Camera phone pics I'm afraid, dirty car too.

Might be easier to take them off then doing them separately!

And love the nurburgring sticker! I have one somewhere but can't remember where i put it haha.

Well I've had the car for some time now. Just done the timing belt + all fluids. Also new wheels. 16 x 7. Goodyear Eagle F1 all round 205/45 on the front 215/40 on the rear.

New springs/dampers will be next. Maybe coilovers, not sure as the car is all for the hills. The only time I want the car lower is when I look at it. From behind the wheel it just needs stiffer swaybars to suit me.

Also I wish I could get the aerial to retract when the head unit is turned off. Unfortunately it hasn't been wired that way. I assume the stock radio retracts it when it's not needed?

looking good mate
yes the stock radio retracts it when the radio is turned off
most aftermarket units have an remote aeriel output to mimic the factory radio maybe urs isn't connected, many people dont bother when upgrading stereos because they get hifi shops to do it and they just connect the basic stuff and thats it

cheers
