Hey All,
I'm looking to replace the swaybar bushings on my 1990 MR2 turbo with the 18mm swaybars front and back.  I don't really want to go with stock bushings as I have coilovers.  I've looked at twosrus and found a bushing kit that also replaces the d clips that hold the bushing in.   I read a negative review of this product (as it requires spacers that don't line up properly) and I'm just wondering if any other 1990 MR2 owners have replaced these bushings?

I've enquired at Repco / Autobarn for bushings and was told they only have the 17mm ones, or the 93+ (which is different) and the 17mm ones were $48 or something silly.

love to hear your opinions.

what type of sway bars do you have? if its like a whiteline or something, maybe hit up that company online?

sorry I have stock swaybars....

I have considered upgrading to whiteline swaybars... but I'm not sure I can justify the cost (6x the cost of bushings)

would prefer just a urethane bushings kit.

edit: I also found this: http://www.ebay.com.au/it...;_uhb=1#ht_3328wt_1397  $40 delivered.

This is the twos r us kit I was referring to: http://twosrus.com/catalo...61&products_id=149

The other option is to wait for an autobarn 20% off storewide and get a whiteline bar:

You can spec pretty much anything you want in a superpro bush.

ok aewsome the superpro bush is easy and cheap... next question though...

I have coilovers, should I move to a new swaybar as well to support the lowered ride height etc?

Bloody supercheap auto though drive me nuts. won't let me order the bushing over the phone.. have to go in... :|

You don't need to go in to order, you can do a payment over the phone if you have a VISA card or something.  I'm sure they'll moan about it but I know for 1 million % they can do it.  Where are you located?

its ok like the retard I am, I found that bursons around the corner from work also can order it...
(work in CBD)

I'm tossing up doing a full upgrade now though...
whiteline swaybar +
deltav reinforcement plates

vs
superpro
deltav reinforcement plates

being a 22 year old car and having coilovers, I'm leaning towards the thicker swaybar...

My set up is pretty much what your talking about, full poly bushes, whiteline bars, delta v rio plates and coilovers.  I like it, great response, good feedback, fantastic feel, but the main point with the bars for me was to gain the adjustability.

It sounds like you are close to making up your mind anyway, and I would guess if you didn't do this now you'll continue to think about it for a while and then do it anyway lol.

Will you need to get front adjustable endlinks?
