Could anyone recommend a good specialist wheel shop in Melbourne that could machine mag wheel centers to take alloy hub rings.

I got a quote from these guys once. Their expensive but most specialists usually are.

why dont you machine the hub rings to fit the wheel centres. instead of machining the wheels themselves.

I want to do it that way to end up with a better job and a more secure fit, especially on GTR wheels that have a very large taper lead in on the center hole.

fair enough but im sure you know this.
but if its a cock up job you loose the wheel not the hub ring.
plus GTR wheels arent staggered, so your going for GTR and GTST combo?
i personally would get the hub rings custom made. that way you save the wheel for another car if you change later on and want to sell its easier.

I'm aware of that, and that's why I want a good wheel specialist.

Yes, I have the GTR and GTST combo, anyway thanks for the input.
