Thanks Dylan,
I hope to see you and the guys there next time. Im still winding down from the last 8 weeks of madness preparing the car, the event, xmas and work. After discussions with Wakefield management yesterday they are already asking when the next one is. The answer will be given in the next few weeks so there is a lot more time to give notice so more can be part of MTC.
Management at Wakefield Park commended the efforts of every driver at the track for providing an easy day for staff with no car requiring removal from sand traps, oil leaks or car crashes. All garages were left in a tidy state, the cabins were also well respected as was all the rules and regulations of Wakefield Park .
So yes, it was a successful event with plenty of kudo's earned for our faternity provided by everyone who was there to make this possible.
You all deserve a pat on the back as Wakefield Park management is more than happy to support the growth of MTC for years to come.
Im not sure what the best part was as there was only good parts aside from the problems with my car which caused issues with organisation of MTC 2013.
Major points were:
Seeing the excitment of the people who experienced there first ever trackday. Ethan, Tri and Chris comes to mind. Brilliant effort guys with your driving skills, control and final results for the weekend. Dad was proud Ethan.
Peter allowing me to drive his V6 SW20, Adrian for scaring the hell out of me then letting me drive his SW20 NA and Ian for allowing me to experience his SW20 NA. Thankyou guys and look forward to spending more time at the track in 2013.
Paul Brell of Boss Tuning, sneaking up on me at 8am Monday! Was great to see he made the event providing support to many people up and down pit lane making the event a success. Thankyou Paul.
James's MRS widebody. I would consider a swap! Love that car.
Seeing Stuka again and enjoying a quality BBQ!
Travis's jokes and endless support to everyone who asked.
Seeing Andrew's "Pearl" circulate non stop for 2 days at a rapid rate.
Watching the battle of the NA's with "Lewis" aka Adrian pipping his nemesis Ian, for the first time in there many years of battles. They were separated by one point in the final standings giving Lewis 2nd place. Thankyou guys for all your help with driver training.
Aaron and the Adub, ten tenths, barely missed a session driving the wheels off his inovative, budget Adub racer.
All the non MR2's/invitationals were all fantastic cars and drivers too provide a battle were they were separated by 2/100ths of a second in the full circuit round with completely different cars. Love to see this kind of competition.
Having a track walk with my gf, Admin/Glenn and his good mate Stephen and son (who won the outright victory of MTC with a well prepared EVO)
Glenns comment: " I have to take it easy or I will wear my tyres out due to too much track time".
Taking Ethan for drive in the B24 SW20. Taking Ken for a drive too.
Seeing three MRS's out on track. They belong on the track.
The BBQ/drinking session/slideshow/party in the cabins over looking the track till 1am Tuesday morning with all the crew. Top night.
Walking onto the cabins balcony to a view of the track, jumping the fence then walking accross the track to the pits to organise the days events.
Seeing all the smiles from everyone when they were set up in their own garage for two days.
The raffle!
Thanks for the memories and look forward to the next one.
Cheers
Steve
