On the contrary, shouldn't stock be more reliable? Say you only upgraded oil cooler or added water wetter if you were afraid of stock overheating.
+1 for dropping it in the MR2! But if it's a daily then oh well...

Stock pistons break ring lands with high boost. Been there done that. The sdub will be fixed soon though not in time for the event. Not enough time because everyone is on holidays - won't be able to get parts or get machining done

Yeah crap time of year for it, id rather see the MR2 out there in my rear view mirror than the GT4 though;)

I'll be in contact once my engine guy has inspected my block and we have decided what sized pistons to get.

Wakefield Park will be doing track maintenance from Jan 2nd till Jan 6th. Most work will be adjustements to the kerbing. In addition to the kerbing, I have requested improved transitions to the hill climb sections of which Wakefield Park has agreed to do.
So on the 4th of Jan, I will be spending the day at Wakefield Park helping out with the transitions. Anyone who wants/or able to come along for the day, let me know through the thread. Will be a opportunity to actually work on the track which is a unusual experience but worthwhile. Good chance to have a closer look at the hillclimb track too.

Sooo what time are ppl leaving from Victoria? I'm going camping on the 10th to 13th but I can be gone by 12th at night. Been a long time since I've been to Sydney by car, do ppl take breaks or just push the pedal to the metal?
