Hi MR2 Owners,
 
February is Club Membership renewal time. 
If you've been thinking about joining the club we have some added incentive for you:
- All new or renewing members who are a paid up 12 month full member at the end of March 2012, will go into the draw to win a gift voucher for Yokohama tyres to the value of $500. The draw will be held at the April committee meeting and all are welcome to attend to witness the draw, but you don't have to be there to win. We will advise you. The gift voucher is valid until 31st Dec 2012
- Full membership will give you free entry to this years practice day at Haunted Hills. This will be on Sunday 29th April 2012. Further details on this event will follow.
 
So two great reasons to come and join us (if you haven't already) in 2012. Of course there will be other events organised by the club. We are currently planning a "drags" day on the 25th March.  More details to follow.
Unfortunately as happens in Social Clubs we will have some senior committee positions becoming vacant at this year's Annual General Meeting. Special mention to our President and Editor of the Track Record.  Both members have put in a great effort over the the past few years but they have decided to take a break to let others have input in our Club.  Our President will remain on as a committee member and will work with the incoming President to make sure the transition is as easy as possible for whoever (you?) takes over the role.
 
So at this year's General Meeting in July we will have 3 vital positions that need to be filled being:
 
- President
- Secretary
- Editor of "Track Record"
 
We need these positions filled for the club to function so we need you to seriously consider joining the committee and taking up one of these positions. "A Club needs it's Committee, and a Committee needs Club Members." Now is the time to start coming along to committee meetings to see what is involved (not that much).

Is the drag day the same one that the Toyota Car Club have organised for the same day at Heathcote??

Yes that is correct.
The MR2 club has been invited to join the Toyota Club for this event.
The MR2 club meeting place/time will be posted later.
 

The Heathcote Drags is a public event which the Toyota Club is attending.   The MR2 Club is also looking to do a cruise to the event.  The Toyota Club is meeting up at 8am.  From past experience this seems to be a wee bit early for some so we are looking at giving a bit more sleep in time.  We should have some info posted by this weekend.
