It might not really matter because you have a built in Map sensor, so all you really need to worry about is running the correct wires for the injectors, coil, trigger, water temp sensor and anything else that I may have forgotten.

I would think that it will be relatively easy to find these wires.

Did you cut the factory ECU plug off completely or did you get another plug from a disused ecu, so it could plug in directly?

At the moment I am leaning towards the MS2 over the DIYPNP because it does not run high impedance injectors and I don't think it has coil drivers either.

The MegaSquirt 3 has finally been released!

MS3 daughter card, for upgrading your MS1 or MS2 to the latest MS3.with this daughter card! We've packaged the MS3 daughter board with 2 of the 40 pin sockets, so it will match up with our new cases. Upgrading also requires a new case, which has the cutouts for the SD card and USB adapter. Other than that, it's very simple. Just unplug your MS2 daughterboard and plug in the MS3, making sure there is a total of 2 40-pin sockets in between the socket on the board and the header on the MS3 daughterboard. If upgrading from MS1, you'll also need to add the MS2 jumpers and may need to change some of your input and output pins. See this page for more information.

The MS3 daughter card on its offers these features:

* VE and ignition tables are now both 16 x 16
* 0.1% steps on VE table, 0.1 degree steps on ignition table
* Socket for an onboard SD card - no laptop required for data logging (SD Card not included)
* Built in USB port
* GM stepper IAC control
* Closed loop idle and mixture control
* CANBus communications for interface with GPIO Board, IO Extender, or other devices
* Staged injection
* Native support for many different OEM trigger patterns

The MS3 also gives you a starting point for even more expansion. You will be able to connect the pin headers on this board to additional hardware, such as the MS3X board (not yet released) or other cards to enable features like these:

* 8 channels sequential fuel control
* 8 channel sequential ignition control
* Individual fuel and spark trim for cylinder by cylinder tuning
* 2 and 3 channel PWM IAC control
* 2 stage nitrous controller
* Table switching for multi-fuel engines
* 2 step launch control
* And more!

If you want to make an adapter up to plug the MS into the standard loom, buy a cheap 4AGE ecu and pull the loom connector out of it. I just bought one for $20 to do this with. Hopefully will get it wired up tonight ready for a MS test.

FYI - there are many other toyota ecu's with the same plug as a 4age too!

I have a bigport ECU if you want it. Still on the car but it's not hooked up so I might as well get rid of it!

MS3 looks sexyyyy . . . maybe I will upgrade when they finally release a stable code for it

has anyone used these on a 3sgte? Are there many people that can dyno tune them to get a more accurate tune (can only go so far on the road). Or should i save the risk and get a more common/generally used ecu like a haltech or adaptronic etc.
