I want to buy an sw20 turbo rev 3 upwards. If anyone is looking to sell, please let me know. I am located in Victoria but will travel for the right car.

What's your budget? Late model turbos (post 92) are hard to come by & have a hefty price tag.

Not sure where rev3 turbo prices start at due to being able to compare. Hoping for somewhere in the 20s

As there doesn't seem to be any rev3 turbo's, are there any good hard top turbo's imported or local in rev 1 or 2 around?

Original Turbo's will be JDM imports only.
 
Definitely more rev 1's and 2's coming up for sale, though expect to travel especially for a hardtop! I traveled all the way to near Noosa to buy my Dec 92 hardtop turbo. Was a long drive back to Melbourne!

No Australian delivered mr2's were turbocharged. As mentioned above only JDM imports.
Hard tops being around $3k cheaper option from factory over Targa tops, are now more sort after and unfortunately there were a lot less ordered / produced from factory.
They are nearly as hard to find, again majority being turbocharged....which in return means JDM import.

Thanks for clarifying that for me, makes a lot more sense now. 
 
Is there a more desirable model or basically a hardtop turbo is where it is at? I will be looking for low kms, but that seems to have it's own issues due to possible engine work required. 
 
Still, if anyone knows of one that might be coming up for sale soon, please let me know.

• Japanese market trim levels:

1. G with an NA 2.0L 3S-GE engine producing 165 PS (121 kW; 163 hp); with an A/T standard and an optional M/T. The G was the base model of the SW20 line-up. Standard features included: climate control, electric mirrors, and fabric door/seat trim.
2. G-Limited with the NA 2.0L 3S-GE engine; an A/T was standard or an M/T was optional. The G-Limited was the higher-specification naturally aspirated SW20. Additional standard features: electric folding mirrors, steering fog lamps, and rear spoiler.
3. GT-S with a turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE engine producing 221 PS (163 kW; 218 hp); an M/T was the only choice. The GT-S had the same standard features as the G-Limited.
4. GT with the turbocharged 2.0L 3S-GTE engine and manual transmission. The GT was considered as the luxury specification in the SW20 line-up and had alcantera/leather door and seat trim in addition to G-Limited standard features. All Japanese market cars came equipped with electronic climate control featuring 2 stage air conditioning.

So basically GT being top of the line.
 
ADM also produced a GT version which to my understanding was also top of the line for Australian delivered sw20's. Of course minus the turbocharged engine.

The bumpy inland route via Dubbo on Tein coilovers (one blown) in a January heatwave and extra diversion with the Newell Hwy closed due to bushfires between Narrabri and Coonabarabran was a chore! Thank goodness the air conditioner worked!
 
Was worth the effort though as the car has been great! Other than the full engine rebuild currently underway after damaging the motor at Winton a couple of months ago, but that was self induced pain.
