This is the car driven by Kazumasa, Ken and myself at MR2 Trackday Challenge 2016. It still has the decals from that event including a few of Kazumasa's decals in the glovebox.
It has managed a 1.13.01 at Wakefield in its current trim but can get into the 1.11's without too much effort.
I ran the car at SMP in January where it finished with a 1.55.0
Both times on RSRR's
In December, I drove it to Melbourne, then on the boat to Tasmania, drove over the whole Island, then returned back to Sydney with no mechanical issues aside from replacing the axle cage in Melbourne before returning to Sydney.
After MTC, I spent a lot of time sorting out a lot of the maintenance which was needed. At this stage, I am still continuing with work before it will be available for sale in April.The improvements being:
- New 20B turbo
- Rebuilt Exhaust system
- Upgraded IC and IC housing
- Oil Catch Can
- AVCR Boost controller (required as the Gen 2 system does not have boost control)
- Axle cage boots and re grease
- New wheel bearings front and rear
- New ball joints front and rear
- New control arm bushes
- New tie rod ends
- Steering rack replaced with a better unit
- Shifter linkage brass bush kit
- Red Stuff brake pads
- Willwood 600 brake fluid
- Replacement Gearbox oil
- Replaced drivers seat
- Replacement front lip
- New battery
- Coilovers with heavy springs. It does not run swaybars but these will be provided if required. I'm not selling the car with the Enkei NT01. It will be fitted with the white 16" Enkei's NT04.
