TECHNICAL DIRECTORS DAY - SUNDAY 16 AUGUST 2015 Its that time of year again when we get together at the Scope Cave for our annual Technical Directors Day. This will be held at the famous Scope Cave on Sunday the 16th of August 2015, with the first car scheduled to go through the workshop and onto the hoist at 8.30am.
There is no requirement for everyone to arrive at 8.30am, but it would be extremely helpful if everyone who is coming could be at the Scope Cave by 12 noon. The last car to go through the workshop process will do so at 3.30pm, if not before.
For the uninitiated the whole aim of this day is to have our cars examined top to bottom by our highly knowledgeable and extremely well qualified Club Technical Directors. This happens in a top class workshop environment where small repairs can be done immediately and major issues highlighted so that the owner knows exactly what the problem is if anything needs to be fixed.
Previous Technical Directors Days have proven to be extremely popular and have provided the background for a lot of discussion about the various mechanical aspects of the cars, particularly as most owners never have the opportunity to closely inspect the underside of their car with people who are professionally trained mechanics and also own MR2's themselves. If you want to find out whether or not that expensive overhaul you were thinking of saving up for will really be worth the money then this is the day to ask the questions.
The Technical Directors Day is open
free of charge to all paid up members, and to those who wish to pay their membership fees and complete their Membership Application Form on the day. If there was any question about the value of the $20.00 annual membership fee then this day is proof of it.
From 12 noon to 1.30pm the intention is also to hold the Club Annual General Meeting (AGM), so if you want to have an influence on where the Club is going in the future then this makes it doubly important to attend. A separate post has been added to this Forum Section about the AGM so please read this to get the details.
Because of the AGM the Club will be providing food and drink for lunch, so good company, a free lunch and a free detailed inspection of the car! What could be better? Hope to see you there.
For catering purposes please put your name and car on the following attendance list. A PM will be sent to everyone who is attending giving the address of the Scope Cave. 1. Club President and Run Manager (2) - 19898 AW11 S/C
