Hi Simon,
we have been trying to make the monthly Runs as interesting as possible and the turnout has been as high as 20 cars. They often don't show up here because you get people who just turn up on the day, which is not a problem at all as we provide copies of the Run Sheets at the Start Point.
We were actually going to do the Queen Mary Falls this time but we always conduct a detailed recon, so in doing this we found out there was a major local event happening and the café and BBQ sites were booked out. Hence moving to Plan B, which is really good anyway and a new one for most everybody.
Now the Nationals are over (in the past 12 months we have been focused on little else, but this paid off with over 60 cars in total) we are looking at adding more value with the planning through introducing more track events, interclub runs (going out this Friday night with the MG car club, the Z car club and a few others on a night observation trial) and the like. We feel that members get good value for $20.00 per year, which is the cheapest incorporated car club in QLD.
URL coming your way via PM so keep an eye out.
Maybe you need to start a Hunter Chapter of the Club? With our house at Yarrawonga Park I would qualify as a member.

Best wishes,
Walter
