After a set of standard springs (not cut) for a 1990 sw2o turbo, not sure if they changed in the later models but need to get through pits (Regency).  Also after standard 15' wheel, either after market or factor, car has gen 3 brakes alround hence 15s not 14'.  Again- only required to get registered, then back on with the 18's & coilovers.

Hi Graham,
Yes would be great if I could borrow the 15s.  As for stiffer spring, I dont have any, am currently on coilovers.

Gonna try run the car thru on Tuesday next week (31st).  Hopefully with the standard wheels / exhaust on - the coilovers wont get mentioned.  I have raised them up to legal height so fingers crossed.

Yeah, been thru the regency inspections about 12 times now, but I should have stated it is only the vehicle id inspection (Interstate plated cars).  Your right regency full vehicle inspections (my last visit) wouldnt even pass me through because one of passenger side transaxle cv boots had a split in it - what a joke.. but hopefully I wont have to take this one thru to the full inspection.

PRO TIP:
Make up  (or use from a different car) some of the plastic covers that go over the strut tops.  Any mechanic worth their salt would recognise something is different with adjustable top hats visible :P

I thought about that, then thought well its not illegal to have coilovers but if they then further inspect to see if they are adjustable (not welded) which there not - then in trouble, hence illegal.  Do you think if they found this they would make me go for the full inspection?  On another occasion the vehicle id inspector passed / gave me the stamp but stated that adjustable boost was illegal and said be carefull I don't get defected down the road, and recommended removal.  Could have just been a nice one.  I suppose the risk is who I get on the day..  But I think bare minimum the covers you suggest are a must.
