Have we got a treat for you for our final Event for 2015, rounding off an action packed year!!
 
Our Christmas Party will be held at The Spit, Somerset Dam. The date is 20th December 2015.
Our President, Scope, has used his negotiating skills to convince a friend to bring along his dinghy so that we can enjoy a relaxing day tootling around the Dam. BTW this dinghy has 525hp so it will be QUICK and lotsa fun!!!
 
Arrangements:
there are three options
1) Be at The Spit at 6am (that's not a typo) for an early morning high speed run (all at legal speeds, of course) on tranquil Dam waters. There'll be very little boat traffic and calm waters on the Dam at this time of day so be there if you can.
or 
2) meet at MacDonalds at The Gap (Waterworks Road) at 7am (7.15am departure). We'll head to Somerset via Mt Nebo/Glorious and should arrive approx 8am
or
3) drive to Somerset Dam (to The Spit) individually with aim to arrive mid morning to catch up with the Club for Christmas lunch and water activities. Lunch will be held at 12 noon.
 
There are BBQ facilities available
Bring food and beverages of your choice
Bring seats
Bring sunscreen, hats and sunglasses (but not your best pair as you may lose them if doing a "dinghy" trip !).
Bring cossies/bathers/Tshirts and towels
 
For the members who take Option 1 or 2 it is planned to have (bring your own) breakfast at 8.15/8.30am. 
There is a General Store at Somerset for those that travel light/don't like cooking or BBQ's.

Sounds like mad fun, but I'm 50/50 on if the mrs and I will be attending - both working a lot of hours over the holidays so I'll have to update once we find out

Probably out too, work Christmas party the night before. 

Sorry, I can't make it because I've only just read about it..... plus I'm doing an ABV mod that day :)

On the upside, my oil leak is fixed, as of today and new SC Pulley has just been fitted :) So just need some new tyres and I can join you on track days.
