I was kindly invited by Eric to participate yesterday.  Had to borrow tire gauge etc. Thanks guys.  Couldn't borrow any skill though.  Most other blokes seemed to have plenty as I was continually being lapped.  I have never seen so many spins and excursions off in all my life.  A lotus that was following out of a left hander somehow managed to loose it big time.  I got to watch it all in the mirrors.  Wouldn't have had near as good a view spectating from the paddock.  Most cars ran reliably all day. Just a couple of little niggles as can be expected.  Pretty good really.  One car proved way too sophisticatedly advanced when it locked its owner out.  I can only assume it was bloody sick of going off road every couple of laps.
Congratulations  Eric.   You have once more done a great job bringing this together. Thanks.  And well done.

Good on you for getting out there Doug. Remember it's not how fast you go, it's about how much fun you have!

Was a very entertaining afternoon, particularly with a bit of lubrication (rain) on the track. Thanks Roger for the pirouettes ;-) you obviously thoroughly enjoyed yourself.

Would've been nice to see the TA silvia run in the dry.

Top day Eric thanks for all the effort you put in, the rain was a nice touch. I had a great time, pehaps the next event should be on another slippery surface and we can all learn how to pirouette. Certainly makes you think before putting an overtaking move on me lol.

Awesome day, loved the mix of cars and trying to chase down the turbos. Can't wait for the next one.

Great day out, excellent company, very well organised!

I had a great time, especially after session 3 when the numbers thinned out, although hope I was holding too many people up when they were lapping the back markers.  The marshals had a quiet word about excessive off-road excursions during the greasy 4th session (struggling to correct / catch the tail away from the traffic).  I almost held it together for the entirety of the open 5th session, and got a few good runs in between the traffic occasionally trying to follow the lines of tailored sprint cars (Excel and an MX5).

I'll be keen as mustard to tag along with anyone heading out to general practice days, skidpans or motokhanas etc. over the next few months as I need to get some practice in for MTC next year.

Hey Dom,

Feel free to post up the general practice you are looking at on here, so that us fellow MR2 owners can look at attending as well.

I like general practice days too, but the benefit to these sprints is you know the other cars you are going on track with. You also know that you arent going to get stuck in a field of race cars.

Anyway there is another sprints potentially being organised so please see here
