Hi all

The names Dan, I own a 1990 SW20 turbo. wanting to join this club, don't know how and would love to be told! haha

The car's been giving me a lot of problems as of late, however am working through them slowly. Hopefully I'll be able to have it back up in Brisbane in time for the next meet. Would love to come for a cruise, get the top off and get it out there.

Not too sure about whats been done to it but it has had some work, unfortunately the not knowing part of that sentence is also the reason for all the dramas as it was tuned a specific way and the race computer controller is a little too accessible and I think people have inadvertently changed the settings over the years. So just working back through it and hopefully will gain positive results.

Will let you know and hopefully will see you on the next run!

Cheers.

Welcome Bringlis, I take it your on a smart phone? On my iPhone I downloaded the photo bucket app and then you upload the images you want onto the photo bucket app then click info on the image you want and a few different codes pop up you copy and last the [img] code into your post.

Hope that helps

Scott
Name is Scott I have a 1991 black hardtop which started life as a NA until the engine decided to spin some bearings. In came a gen II 3sgte from a donor car I picked up for $150. Since then a lot has happened with the car with it runing and not running. Current mods are ViPEC ecu, TD06, external gate, aftermarket exhaust, 540cc injectors, bored rail (home job), eBay cooler, walbro 255, 3" dump, k&n pod, KYB super streets struts with TRD springs, adjustable sway bar links, cusco castor rods (to be installed), BBS LM's. I am at the point to have exhaust re-plumbed and get it to the dyno. I made 180hp with the old stock ecu, hi-flow ct26, 440cc running extremely rich in the 10's (afr) so I am hoping for a bit more. I work in the oil and gas industry out in the beautiful Cooper basin desert.

Hi "nate-p" and Scott. Welcome to a group of people who are extremely smart like yourselves because they drive the best value sports car for the money in the world.

FYI the Mr2 Owners Club of Australia Queensland Chapter is an incorporated association in Queensland as part of a broader like-minded group of MR2 owners across Australia. If you want to join the Club its probably the cheapest car club in Queensland to belong to at $20.00 per year.

We have organised activities every month, sometimes two or three depending on what members are doing, but mostly our outings consist of a Run on the third Sunday. We don't call them a "Cruise" because our cars are for driving on twisty roads, not posing on the Esplanade at Surfers , although we have been known to have displays at the All-Japanese Day, Motors In Motion, etc. Perhaps the biggest positive thing about the Club is that politics of all shapes and sizes is a complete no-no; we are very informal and try to let everyone just enjoy themselves.

We use this Forum to communicate most Club information, although the Forum is not an initiative of the Club or run by it. I will be sending you a Run Sheet for this coming Sunday via a PM so you can check out whether or not you might want to join us for the day. My number is on the bottom of the sheet so if you want to call and discuss the Club please do so.

We look forward to getting to meet you both and hope you will come along and contribute in whatever you can to promote these great cars.

Regards,
Walter
