I'm sorry to hear about PT_Steve's experience......was his car stock standard??

Steve's car is a nice stock, P plater spec 97 SW20 :)
 
I'm not trying to rubbish dealerships, but just be aware that just because they are a Toyota dealer doesn't always mean they know how to service the car. Always do your research and be picky about who works on your car if you have to :)

Have booked in to Toyota for general 205,000 service & they will give her a good check over & let me know what else might need doing.  A bit more expensive than my previous car general services.  But she is my baby, so I do want to make sure someone who know's what they are doing looks after her.

I'll be in on Wednesday morning, about 7.45 ish.  Then pick up after work at 4ish.
 
 

  Happy that I went to Toyota.  Service done.  A couple of leaks found, not expensive ones to fix.  Booked in for monday to get them fixed.

 Baby's having unplanned sleep over at Toyota. 
Went to pick up & they had her out for the test drive.  30 mins later I asked how much longer, needed to get to building society before 5.
"uummm there's been some sort of problem on the test drive, take our courtesy car for the night & we'll call you as soon as we know"
I just called them & they are working back to fix it.  The Rocker cover thingy apparently didn't adhere properly or something.

Sounds like rocker cover gasket not sealing.  If it is that, don't stress, that should only be a small fix (new rocker cover gasket etc).

hopefully the next one will seal properly, that's one of the things they replaced today.

Easy fix tho
Bit of sealant on the corners and perhaps a new gasket but who knows :)
