Thanks guys. With the springs it brings it to the higher end of what I thought it may cost & had budgeted for. Always a bit more when I have to pay labour too. But I know she's worth it.

Whao!!! That is expensive! Couldn't you save a heap by buying new strut inserts and springs on ebay then having them fitted for much cheaper, unless you are getting bilstein or koni shocks fitted as they are expensive. Labour wise I would have thought this could all be done in one day easy. MR2 suspension is really easy to unbolt and do, especially with a hoist. I changed all mine at home in less then a day and I wasn't working very hard.

He is very reputable, I wouldn't have gone there if so many MR2 ppl hadn't recommended him. Around an hour away.  I said I'd take her down after work & get a train home, then taxi to work.  He suggested the loan car.  
I wouldn't have a clue what to buy.  Can't do any of it myself.  He will do alignment, set-up, etc on the correct machines.  All done in the 1 place.
Looking forward to her feeling like the sports car that she is.

Just to add my own experience, when I first bought my car it came with King springs on standard struts and it was pretty stiff. Currently has Lovell springs on Koni's. I know it's almost like comparing apples to oranges but I think the Lovell springs are better and can be had for pretty much the same price. 

+1Lovells. I have bought lots of sets of Kings for various cars over the years and I have never kept them for long. I have Lovells in my RA60 Celica and am happy with them. The only problem with aftermarket "lowered" springs is that they are never (in my experience), actually lower. I used different strut tops in my RA60 to get it to sit a little bit lower, and I cut the rears slightly.

2. Brake things come from Stopmaster at Gateshead, especially now that he one of our sponsers. 😀

Goodridge brake hoses are an exact oem fit. Highly recommended.

Looks great Shaz! This may give me the motivation to get around to changing my suspension from the boaty stock stuff. I agree with the brake hoses they're a cheap and easy replacement. Stopmaster should sell a set for $50 or so, they may not be braided but I doubt it'll make any difference.
